What if someone asks me about my hat, what do I say to them?

• You could simply say something like: “This hat is supposed to be an invitation for random interaction and is a symbol for supporting mental health.”
• Or, you could just let them scan the barcode on your hat and tell them, “I’m not totally sure how to explain it, but here scan this and it will take you to their website!”

Do I have to talk to people who approach me when I am wearing Talk2Me merch?

• Of course not! You can always end a conversation at any time. Just be mindful that by wearing our merch, you should be in the mood to talk to strangers, and people who see will likely be expecting you to engage in some sort interaction. We chose a hat so people could easily just take it off if they are no longer in an especially social mood. 

Why hats/why just a hat?

• Because they can be both subtle and noticeable/attention-grabbing. 
• We figured that hats would be the best way to let people seamlessly show that they are welcoming interaction, and also be one of the easiest fashion pieces to take on and off at any time. In the near future, we plan to launch more products that bring people together, but our More Than Just a Hat is our main focus for now.   

What about stranger danger?

• We believe that people are not naturally reckless and naive and that they are able to detect danger on their own. Our idea of opening up connectivity is not meant to have people put down their guard and you should always approach people with caution in all social situations.
